Accessibility

How to move through this site, and how to tell us when a page fails.

Effective 5 October 2026. Augms wants this website to be usable by people arranging window and door work, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, or browser zoom. This statement describes what we built into the pages and how to tell us when one fails. It is not a certificate, and it is not a legal warranty.

Commitment

Service pages are published as HTML, so the words are in the page rather than painted into photographs. Layout is meant to stay readable on a phone and on a large screen. Pages include names on controls and a visible focus style. We have not commissioned a third-party accessibility audit, we do not claim WCAG conformance, and we do not claim a measured contrast ratio. If a browser extension changes the page after it leaves us, that layer is outside this commitment.

Access at a house — stairs, pets, a narrow side yard — is a scheduling question, not a website question. Say so when you request a paid site visit. This statement is about the site.

Keyboard

A “Skip to content” link is the first focusable control. Menus, service links, form fields, and question disclosures can be reached without a mouse. On a small screen the menu control is a button named Open menu or Close menu, with aria-controls and aria-expanded. That button is used when JavaScript runs. Without JavaScript the primary navigation links stay in the page and can be used. Windows and Doors use native disclosure controls. Escape closes the mobile menu when the script runs and returns focus to the button. Focus on the menu button is drawn with a visible outline rather than removed.

Contrast and type

Body text sits on an off-white ground in a dark colour, not in the faintest gray. The large titles use a serif face loaded from files on this website; if those files do not load, the page falls back to a face already on your device and stays readable. Instructions do not depend on colour alone.

Forms

The estimate form labels each field in text tied to that field. Consent is a required checkbox in the HTML. Success is shown only after an HTTP OK response whose JSON has ok set to true. Without JavaScript, a successful post redirects to a confirmation page. If the fields fail a check or the mail function does not accept the message, the server returns the form with ordinary field values still filled in and an error. Neither result claims inbox delivery or a booked visit. Email and telephone are ordinary links in the HTML.

Photographs

Images that carry meaning have alternative text describing the picture. The logo mark is hidden from assistive technology because the company name is already in the link. Photographs on these pages are architectural illustrations of opening types. They are not presented as documented Augms jobs. This statement does not claim that every photograph has a caption.

Known limits

We do not embed maps or video. There are no PDF downloads. If documents are added later, they should be accessible or an HTML alternative should be offered. Some older browsers may not support every layout technique we use.

Report a barrier

If you cannot use a page, email [email protected] or call +1 (204) 544-9219. Include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive tool you used. We will offer a practical alternative, such as taking the estimate by phone, and correct the page when the problem is in our markup.
